Heads up ladies and gentlemen, I’ve got a new mascara love and I’m not afraid to shout in from the rooftops.
Say hello to the Ciate Triple Shot Mascara (c/o $22), y’all. Now, I’ll be honest, I really didn’t expect to like this that much; there just didn’t seem to be that much about it that appealed, and I had to admit I’m pretty darn fussy when it comes to mascara. But despite my doubts, this bad boy has quickly stolen my heart.
It works some seriously epic volumising magic, without a single clump or horrible blob in sight, and it actually holds the volume for the entire day, which makes a change from a lot of other products that I’ve used in the past.
Brush-wise, it does have a plastic-y brush, rather than a fibre-type one, which I know a lot of people aren’t keen on, but this one is completely different to all of the others that I’ve tried. Rather than those horrendous short, stubbly bristles that you find on a lot of plastic brushes, this one has much longer bristles, which help to ensure every lash gets a healthy coating of mascara.
What’s more, I don’t get any horrible mascara flakes floating down onto my cheeks throughout the day, which is always a bonus.
In other words, it’s love.
