As much as I love beauty – and I do love it, a lot – there are, shock horror, there are a few other ace bits and bobs currently keeping me happy and I thought it might be nice to share some of it with y’all.
First things first, my new glitter-filled iPhone 6 Plus cover. Yes, you heard that right – glitter and sequin star-filled fun, ordered off eBay from China for the bargain price of $2.50 and I couldn’t be happier with it. It looks shiny and sparkly, and it’s oh-so satisfying to watch it all falling in there. Aaaaaaah. Speaking of shiny and sparkly, I also have a garnet ring that I was given my my godfather/uncle; it belonged to someone very close to him, and it means the world to me.
In terms of a more general obsession, I’m pretty head over heels for all things copper at the moment… And nowhere does a good bit of copper homeware better than H&M. That place is a veritable copper mine of beautiful bronze-y pieces and my room is full of them. Including the above tealight holder, which is currently housing some matches.
Next up on the list is my Prada key wallet; I’ve had this bad boy for a long old while now and have not for a single second since then regretted the purchase (I bought it off eBay!). It helps to prevent my keys from scratching the inside of my bag, or my phone, and it makes them incredibly easy to find when I’m scrabbling around in my bag. Organisation-wise, I’m also loving my Frankie Daily Journal, which has been helping me to keep my life on track and keep up to date with everything that I have going on.
Now making a move onto food and fashion…
I’m pretty sure I’ve nearly bankrupted myself buying daily green smoothies and peanut butter acai bowls from Liquiteria. That place is quite literally addictive and I cannot get enough. The same goes for maple leaf cookies. I found these at Duane Reade a few weeks ago and may or may not have worked my way through three (or five) boxes since. Oops.
For the fashionable (or unfashionable) portion of this post, we have my favourite H&M scarf – which G likes to joke is actually a blanket – and my new Markkit Oversized Slumberjack Shirt, which I have worn pretty much every day since buying it. Literally. And I quite like the whole lumberjack meets pyjama style to be honest. That combined with a pair of leggings and I am done, wardrobe-wise. Stylish I know.
