It’s been a busy old week at work – probably because I was lucky enough to have Monday off, and then had to spend the rest of the week playing catch up.
Either way though, it has been a good ‘un, and now I’m off for a bit of relaxation in Connecticut. Hope y’all have a delightful weekend.
Place: Top of the Rock, which is the touristy viewing area at the top of the Rockefeller Center. The view is incredible – you can see for miles – and the whole experience of going up there etc was just totally amazing. Very glad I finally got around to heading on up there.
Food: Liquorice Allsorts. My lovely friend who was here over the weekend brought them for me from the UK and I’ve been gobbling my way through them ever since.
Experience: Doing all of the fun touristy things that I haven’t yet had a chance to do when my UK pal was here visiting – wandering round Central Park, checking out the Guggenheim, eating crepes at the Plaza… you name it and me and my lovely friend did it.
Read/watch: I’m finding Donna Tartt quite tricky to read on the subway – I just don’t feel like I can really get into it properly with just a few minutes of reading time. So, if anyone has any other suggestions for books, which might be a bit easier to digest, please let me know!
Beauty bit: The Cetaphil Cleanser. My skin is acting up yet again, so I’m trying to keep my skincare routine super simple at the moment and this has quickly become one of my all-time favourite cleansers.
Have a good weekend everyone and don’t forget to follow me over on Instagram and @CharlieLanks!
