My skin has been horrendous lately. Truly, truly awful. You know, when you spend all evening cleansing, doing face masks and applying spot treatments, only to discover that, come morning, the three spots you had have multiplied, leaving you with even more of a mess than you had before.
Now, I’m not sure what it is exactly that’s causing it – could be a certain time of the month, although it’s never usually this bad, could be a specific food, maybe? Who knows. Ironically, I’m actually being far healthier than usual. I’m eating salads for lunch (yep, you read that right – salads), I’m drinking loads of water and yet none of it seems to help. Woe.
However, all is not yet lost. I’ve managed to find a mix of three products in particular which seem to be helping more than most. The GlamGlow Youthmud Face Mask, which I originally wasn’t too sure about if I’m honest, has actually proven itself to be the best thing when it comes to deep cleaning my pores. My face is left feeling clean and fresh, plus it does a great job of exfoliating at the same time. Win.
Then there’s the Lush Tea Tree Toner Water, a spray toner which helps to soothe redness, calm any angry blemishes and it helps to keep any nasty bacteria at bay.
Third in my skincare trio is the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask, a detoxifying and hydrating face mask that soothes and cools my skin, while giving it a much-needed boost of moisture. My skin feels so much calmer after using this, and any painful pimples are usually much more manageable post-use too.
