During my recent move into the city, a lot of my make up went into storage and has remained there while I work out the best way to store it all in my new flat. For the past few weeks, I’ve just been relying on what products I had out, and didn’t worry about venturing into my storage in order to dig anything else out.
But as I’ve slowly started unpacking it all – a process which will hopefully be finished this weekend when I install my final Muji drawers – I’ve come across a fair few products that I didn’t really realise I missed all that much, until I saw hidden away in boxes at the back of my wardrobe.
So, with my unpacking process nearly complete, it’s time to bring these much-missed favourites back into action. First up, the NARS The Narsissist Eyeshadow Palette, one of my favourite purchases from 2014. The colours are all immense and the formulas are incredibly easy to work with. All in all, it’s just superb.
As is the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow, which is without a doubt one of the prettiest products I own. But besides its beautiful exterior, this product is also just brilliant when it comes to creating a natural-looking contour. The bronze shade isn’t too orange and the highlighter contains only the most subtle of shimmers – no glittery mess up in here, just Kim Kardashian-esque cheekbones.
And if I’m looking for more of an overall glow, I’ll turn to the Mac Mineralise Skinfinish Extra Dimension which creates the most beautiful radiant glow, the perfect pick me up for days when my complexion is looking and feeling slightly lacklustre and dull.
Last up is the Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Tease, a nourishing yet brilliantly bold lip colour, which can be worn with just one layer for a sheeny pop of subtle red, or layered up for a full hit of bright colour. Normally a product that I use only during the festive season, I’m eager to put it into rotation throughout the rest of the year because of its beautifully balmy formula which I’m hoping will help to care for my lips during the current winter chill.
What products are you guys eager to use more of?
