* missing this guy *

This past week has been a bit of an odd one…

Giles left on Sunday – sob – and it’s been weird getting used to being here in New York without him, particularly as it was my birthday on Friday, and not having him here to celebrate with me was a bit sad… But, I had such a lovely day, and have spent this weekend relaxing in Connecticut which has been great.

Back to the grind tomorrow but until then….

Five favourites

Place: Out here in snow-covered CT. It’s so beautiful when it’s been snowing.

Food: I went to a restaurant called Bar Taco yesterday night and the food was so good. I recommend the sesame ribeye rice bowl.

Experience: My first birthday here in New York.

Read/watch: I’m still obsessing over Dance Moms – I’m on Season 4 already – but am also really enjoying reading Lauren Oliver’s Delirium series. They’re incredibly easy to read, which makes them the perfect commuter books, and they have that same dystopian thing going on as books like the Hunger Games and Divergent.

Beauty bit: This week’s facvourite has probably been my Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment which has been helping to heal my horribly chapped lips.

Have a good weekend everyone and don’t forget to follow me over on Instagram and @CharlieLanks!
