One of the presents that I was most excited to find under the tree this Christmas was the ever so brilliantly compact Urban Decay Naked On The Run Palette.
As y’all have no doubt figured out by now, my palette obsession is showing no signs of slowing down – if anything it’s only getting worse – and I’ve managed to build up a fairly sizeable collection during the past few years. I’ve got neutral palettes, bright palettes, cheek palettes, lip palettes; it’s kind of a you name it, I’ve got a palette for it type situation.
But the Naked On The Run offering just seemed to me to offer something a little bit special, which made it manage to stand out from the increasingly large crowd of palette alternatives. Indeed, the only thing in my beauty stash which comes anywhere close to it in terms of practicality is the Laura Mercier Colour-To-Go Portable Palette, which doesn’t feature nearly as much in the way of eye options.
So, speaking of those options, what does this pretty palette include? With the exception of base products, it has pretty much everything you need to create all manner of varied beauty looks, from blush and bronzer, to eyeshadows (six shades, which range from neutral to smokey), mascara, eyeliner and lip gloss.
Essentially, this palette, plus a foundation and concealer, are all you really need for a weekend – maybe even a week! – away. And unlike some of the other travel palettes I’ve tried (not the LM one I might add), the products featured in this are great quality. The travel size Perversion Mascara is the only Ud product I wasn’t familiar with and I’m happy to say it’s great – mega lashes in an instant – while everything else lives up to the pretty immense standards I’ve come to associate with the brand.
And all for the bargain price of £37/$54. What a steal.
