As I mentioned briefly in my 2014 favourites posts, this past year has been something of a crazy ride for me.

I guess the most obvious change in my life has been my move to New York, which saw me packing up my entire life into five suitcases in order to start a new job in one of the most exciting cities in the world. Needless to say, it’s been rather hectic at times, but I like to think that I’ve made at least a fair attempt at rising to the challenge. And there are still a lot of things to sort out – I have another move coming up, this time into my own flat, and G is still sorting out his own permanent move out here – but I’m really starting to feel like I’m settling in, which is something of a relief, I won’t lie!

Now, this time last year, I set myself a few goals for the year ahead – and while I’m happy to say that I actually managed to achieve a good ole portion of them, I’m not going to go over and dissect them all one by one, because this year, for me, is going to be all about looking forward, rather than back. And I don’t in any way mean that to sound stubborn or pig-headed, in fact I hope that it’s going to mean the exact opposite. Because I have a bit of a bad habit of over-thinking things – as I’m sure G will agree – and it’s something that can often keep me from enjoying what’s actually going on in the here and now. In other words, I’m often so busy worrying about things that have already happened, that I miss a lot of the fun things that are right in front of my face. Well, no more!

Other than that, 2015 is going to be something of a resolution-free zone for me. Instead, I’m just going to sit back and enjoy what is to come. Here’s hoping it’s something good.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. May your 2015 be filled with fun, friends, family and a wealth of other fantastic things. Lots of love. x

Best of luck on your move I know they are time consuming and a bit stressful. I absolutely love the idea of a resolution-free year sometimes it is best to just let things run it’s course without setting goals that may or may not work out in the end. Have a wonderful 2015! Looking forward to continuing to read all about your adventures on your blog.
