What a week. I woke up on Tuesday morning at about 4am with the worst back and shoulder pain EVER. After spending about an hour trying to stretch it out/move into a sitting position, I gave up and called for help. A quick and extraordinarily painful chiropractor session later and I was feeling slightly better but still had to spend most of the day in bed. Sad but true.
But then it was Thanksgiving time – my first Thanksgiving here in the US nonetheless – and I loved it. I did as much American stuff as possible – a Turkey Trot in the morning, followed by a football game, completely with cheerleaders, and then a delightful meal in the evening. It was ace.
And now it’s less than a month until CHRISTMAS and just one day until advent calendar time, hurrah!
Place: Kmart. Sad but true. They just have the most immense selection of Christmas decorations and I can’t resist the opportunity to pop in for a visit whenever possible.
Food: Thanksgiving food. All of it. SO TASTY.
Experience: Imma have to say Thanksgiving again. I finally get what all the fuss was about; it was just the best day ever and filled me with all kinds of warm and fuzzy feelings.
Read/watch: I actually finished two books this week *pats self on back*, Girl Online by the lovely Zoella and Delirium by Lauren Oliver. Both were excellent.
Beauty bit: I’m going to have to say Essie Shearling Darling which is all I’ve been wearing on my nails recently. It’s just the most beautiful of Autumn Winter shades.
Have a good weekend everyone and don’t forget to follow me over on Instagram @CharlieLanks!
