Haircare1* l’oreal total repair 5 damage-erasing balm // $6.99 *

I’m going to be honest with y’all – the last few weeks of stress, strain, long-haul flights and endless packing sessions have really taken their toll on every aspect of my beauty regime from my nails to my skin to my underarms (TMI?!) – but the area that has been the most badly impacted by all this craziness is most definitely my hair.

Don’t ask me how… If you ask me, my haircare routine remains the most unchanged thing about my life at the moment – I even brought my same shampoo and conditioner all the way to New York with me in the hopes enjoying a few friendly scents.

But despite my best efforts, my locks have continued to look lank, lacklustre and downright dreary, forcing me to take drastic steps. Ok maybe just ‘steps’ . During a recent trip to Target – yes, I have been more than once and yes I still want to buy the whole shop – I spotted this hair mask from L’Oreal nestled in the aisles.

After giving it just the quickest of whiffs, I knew that this product was coming home with me thanks to its sweet, floral, honeyed fragrance while seemed to linger long after the tub was closed.

Thankfully, the product is as effective at restoring your hair’s health as it is at filling a room with a beautiful fragrance. Thick, rich and nourishing, this hair mask/conditioner hybrid might well seem like your average hair treatment at first, but I promise it is so much more than that.

Following the introduction of this mask into my regular haircare routine, I can’t even begin to describe how brilliantly healthy my hair has been; my usually frazzled locks feel so happy and frankly I am completely mesmerised by my brilliantly soft barnet. Even my split ends had disappeared from the now-sleek tips of my hair.

And all for the bargain price of $6.99? It seems almost too good to be true…
