I’ve had some haircare issues of late. My hair has been feeling a bit limp, dull and generally a bit lacklustre and after a few weeks of struggling with various different haircare combinations, I decided a haircare overhaul was in order.

While browsing through the aisles of Boots – one of my favourite activities it has to be said – I came across the Grow Gorgeous 11-in-1 Cleansing Conditionera cleansing conditioner which promises to completely re-vamp and revitalise your hair. Exactly what I needed! Now if you aren’t familiar with co-washing, the new haircare trend on the block, allow me to give you a quick run down. Essentially, these cleansing conditioners do everything for you – both cleanse your hair and nourish and tame it without the need for any shampoo.

Sound a bit weird? Well it is really. And it’s a concept which took me a little time to get my head around but once I’d settled into the co-washing groove, I have to admit I was pretty ruddy impressed. Imagine sacking off the shampoo and just using a hair mask, that’s essentially what this process is like and it leaves your hair feeling so silky smooth and nourished, I doubt you’ll ever look back.

At the moment, I’m indulging my new co-washing obsession about once or twice a week and washing my hair normally the rest of the time. And for those days when my hair needs a bit of a spruce, I look no further than the Batiste Care & Vitality Dry Shampooa new take on my favourite brand of dry shampoo which helps to keep your hair silky soft, even on those dark days when you haven’t had time to get your co-wash on. I don’t know exactly what it is about this formula over all the others, but it really has made a difference to how my hair feels on a day-to-day basis and I couldn’t be happier.

Consider my haircares woes sorted.

  1. I’ve never tried co-washing before I’ll have to look into it. I’ve also been looking for a good dry shampoo to use on my ‘off’ days. Ill have to check that out as well
