JUNE1

JUNE2

June has been the most amazing of months. I’ve had such a superb time and I’ve worked my way through one helluva lot of beauty products and other random bits and pieces, both new and old, and have a pretty swell list of favourites for y’all.

We’ll kick of with the best of the beauty bits and one of my most-used products of the past few weeks, the Stila Stay All Day Liquid EyelinerNow I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the most skilled when it comes to applying liquid eyeliner – horrendous smudge alert – but even I was able to create a semi-decent looking flick with this eyeliner. It applies so smoothly with a seriously intense amount of colour and it lasts all the livelong day. It’s just awesome.

In recent weeks I’ve been pairing my Stila eyeliner with the Maybelline Expertwear Eyeshadow Single in Silken Taupea really budget-friendly eyeshadow that is a pretty perfect dupe for Burberry’s Pale Barley Eyeshadow. It glides on really well and lasts for hours on end, even longer if you use it with an eyeshadow primer. Another budget favourite this month is the Rimmel Wake Me Up ConcealerI bought this a while ago but I think the first shade I picked up was a bit too dark/organgey for me and it ended up a bit neglected at the back of my drawer. But while browsing in Boots last month, I snapped it up again in the hopes of hiding my monstrous eyebags. While its actual concealing powers aren’t the best when it comes to blemishes etc, it really does do a superb job at brightening up the under-eye area.

Moving on to tools and I have two brushes that I’ve been loving this month. The Claire’s Flat Kabuki Beauty Brush has been my go-to tool when it comes to foundation application. The tightly-packed bristles really help to work in the product and leaves my face looking as close to flawless as it’s gonna get. Plus, It’s pink! When it comes to concealer, I’ve turned to the Zoeva Concealer Buffer which really helps to blend in my concealer in small areas.

A slightly less glamorous favourite comes in the form of the Secret Scent Expressions Clear Gel Tango Passion DeodorantThis stuff smells amazing, doesn’t leave any gross residue under your arms (NOICE) and ensures I smell as fresh as can be all day long. All you can really ask for in a deodorising product if you ask me! Another sweet scent I’ve been loving is the Bath & Body Works Market Peach Candle which I’ve been burning all month long. It really does smell like a freshly cut peach and, despite its small size, fills the whole room with fragrance. It’s really ruddy delightful.

The last two products are a bit more lifestyle-related; first, my Claire’s Katy Perry Rose Gold Butterfly Earrings which have been my accessory of choice for much of the month. They look really summery, add a bit of sparkle to my normal everyday jewellery line-up and are uber cheap too. Always a plus. The last favourite on the list is a long-time favourite that I rediscovered while in New York – Sex And The CityEver since going on the SATC tour in NYC, I’ve binge-watched my way through pretty much all six series of the show. Now for the movies…

Happy July everyone!
