As some of you may know, I’ve spent the past few days exploring the sights and sounds of New York City with one of my best friends. We’ve covered a serious amount of ground while we’ve been here, from walking around the Met for hours to strolling up and down Central Park in the sunshine, something which normally would have no doubt resulted in endless blisters and swollen tootsies.

Well not this time.

Shortly before I hopped on the plane to come over here, I went in search of some shoes that would be sure to keep my feet as comfy as possible through all the endless amounts of walking around and, after asking several friends for their recommendations, opted for a pair of Nike Free Runs 5.0.

Holy moly was that a good decision. For those of you that haven’t ever tried a pair of these on for size, I cannot recommend them more. Their light as air, comfy as pillows and actually don’t look half bad when paired with all manner of normal outfits. In other words, you won’t look like the weirdo who forgot their normal shoes during a trip to the gym.

The only issue with these bad boys? You pretty much won’t want to wear any other shoes – ever again. In fact all of the extra pairs that I popped into my suitcase on the assumption that I would be changing things up every now and then have been rendered completely useless. Sad but true. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to explore Little Italy… Pizza here I come.

  1. I’m more of a Reebok fan myself, but those Nike are pretty nice!
