Last week I had one of the best evening’s I’ve had in a while when I hit the O2 for a night of immense entertainment courtesy of Katy Perry’s Prismatic World Tour. I was invited to attend the evening by the lovely ladies at Claire’s, who also treated me and my fellow guests to a sneak peek of Katy’s latest jewellery collaboration with the brand.
Holy moly is it beautiful. Named Wildflower in honour of its floral theme, this new jewellery line is full to the brim of incredible statement summer pieces, from hair accessories to jewellery to sunglasses, all hand-picked by Perry herself. My favourite pieces from the collection include a pair of ornately-decorated sunglasses, a bright and bold statement necklace and a pair of rose gold butterfly earrings, all of which will be coming with me on my trip to New York next week.
As for Katy’s performance, I don’t have a bad word to say. It. Was. Awesome. There were so many bright colours and quirky set designs; the whole thing was so visually impressive. There was even a giant blow-up emoji poo. You don’t get much better than that. Plus, unlike a lot of performers, Katy didn’t stick to her latest material and even busted out I Kissed A Girl, which prompted much screaming and out-of-tune singing. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Needless to say I haven’t stopped singing the songs since.
NB this post is not sponsored. Claire’s took me out for a rip-roaringly good time and I wanted to share some pics. All opinions are still very much my own.
