Have you ever come across a beauty product that you know is way out of your price range and yet it’s just so beautiful and tempting that you find yourself reaching for your debit card, or clicking that ever-tempting ‘purchase’ button before you can say ‘bankrupt’? I admit I may have found myself in this exact situation, on numerous occasions, but you know what? I still have very few regrets about this collection of high-end beauty bits that I have come to see as my beauty investments.

Despite their high prices, 99 per cent of the products that fall into the beauty investments category have that wonderfully luxurious feel to them which really does make it worth spending all those extra pennies. At least that’s what I’m telling myself!

But the truth is that it still feels a bit special to use each of these beauty products; whether it’s to celebrate an occasion or just to pep myself when I’m not feeling my best, pulling one of these wallet-busting beauty investments out of my stash tends to make me feel that bit more glamorous. From my Diptyque Eau Duelle Perfume (£72) – on of my favourite and most-used fragrances – to my Charlotte Tilbury Tilbury The Golden Goddess Palette (£38) – the most luxurious-feeling eyeshadow palette in my collection – they are the most treasured items in my beauty stash and really do mean that much more to me.

So, while I’m not suggesting that you start splashing the cash on any outrageously-priced products every day, next time you come across that ‘too pretty to handle, but ever so pricey’ item, it’s worth thinking about making that investment. It’s all about building up that bankable beauty collection…

  1. Seriously in love with the photo!!! Everything looks so pretty.

  2. I agree! Case in point, 2 perfumes – one from Diptyque, the other from Le Labo – that both smell heavenly but cost an arm and a leg and aren’t what I usually go for, so I’m scared to take that leap!

  3. I’ve been eyeing that Hourglass palette, now if only it were available in my country! Or if Sephora decided to cut me a break and ship here! 🙂

    1. where are you from? I got mine from they ship internationally. follow them maybe it will be back in stock soon! hope this was helpful! 🙂 xx

I think it’s definitely worth the splurge as long as you’ve researched that the product is worth the price tag, Hourglass are fab and well worth it. I really want to try out that foundation now too though 🙂 Claudia x
