Goodness gracious is it that time again already? Holy moly. This month has been a month of shaking things up – from skincare to beauty to day-to-day routines – and subsequently I’ve got a fair few new or rediscovered bits and pieces in my March favourites.
We’ll start, as always, with a bit of skincare and for this we have one old and one new product. The oldie is the Dermalogica Precleanse, a seriously effective oil-based formula that is designed to rid your skin of the first wave of make up and dirt before you move on to your other cleanser of choice. The second skincare item is a bit of budget brilliance, the Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Eye Transforming Cream. The formula brightens, tightens and gives the eye area an added boost of radiance. Ideal for those mornings when you’re feeling a bit meh.
Moving on to make up. In the past few weeks I don’t think I’ve used any primer other than the Bourjois Happy LIght Luminous Serum Primer. It’s lightweight, works wonders on anchoring make up and gives a lovely subtle glow to the skin. Combine that with the peachy pink brilliance of the Sleek Blush in Rose Gold and you’ve got yourself one winner of a complexion. Face and base sorted, let’s talk eyes. Something of a surprising choice in this category comes in the form of the Claire’s 10 Piece Eyeshadow Set. This budget buy contains some brilliantly pigmented cool-tone shades and their subtle shimmer really helps to brighten the eyes. Between this and my Sping-themed iPhone case, I think Claire’s might quickly become my favourite place to shop.
The last two beauty items are the Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner – the ash-toned pencil compliments my eyebrow colour perfectly and the nude colour at the other end is great for adding a bit of highlight on the brow – and the Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish in St James which is, in my opinion, the perfect pinky red shade.
Last up is a much-loved stationary item, the Smythson Bright Ideas Notebook. This dinky notepad is the perfect place for me to jot blog notes on the go and has come in seriously handy during moments on inspiration when out and about.
Now on to April and, with any luck, some continued sunny weather!
