Do you ever reach that stage where all of your favourite beauty products run out at the same time?! This has happened to me on so many occasions and, while it’s annoying, it provides a somewhat handy opportunity to really see which products qualify for that ‘can’t live without’ status.
All of these products have reached that level for me – so much so that for four of them, I already had a back-up repurchase ready so I wouldn’t have to go even a day without them. First up in this special select group of brilliance is the Pixi Glow Tonic, my all-time favourite acid exfoliator which I use every single day. Similarly, the Ole Henriksen Fresh Start Eye Creme has been my evening eye cream of choice for about two or three years now. It’s rich and nourishing without being the slightest bit greasy and it leaves my eyes feeling super fresh and moisturised.
The last skincare product, the Avene TriAcnéal Treatment Cream, is one that I’ve only had for six months or so and already I can’t see myself going without it. It blitzes blemishes like none other.
Make up-wise, I actually lost my first pot of the Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo in On & On Bronze – sob – and I think I waited less than a day before I rushed out and got a new one. It’s just that good. So easy to use, long-lasting and just the most wearable of colours. The Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder I actually smashed during a manic handbag rummage – sob, again – and snapped up another pretty sharp-ish. I love how lightweight a smooth it feels on my skin and yet it still manages to banish any shine while setting my make up. Superb.
Last up is the Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat, which I use every time I paint my nails and, given that I paint them up to twice (ok, sometimes three times) a week, it’s easy to see why it ran out so quickly. The gel-like glossy finish is unbeatable in my opinion and it makes sure my lacquer lasts for days on end. Perfect.
Now fingers crossed I can get through a few more months before it all runs out again…!
