Given that the sun has decided to make a much welcome appearance here in the UK, I decided the time was right to introduce a little bit more SPF loving into my skincare routine. Now I’ll be the first to admit that when it comes to my morning skincare, I like to keep things as quick and easy as possible – anything to prolong my sleep time – and so I wanted to find a simple and effective moisturiser that would give me a good whack of SPF without needing to add another step to my skincare.

Enter the Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Nourishing Moisturiser, a budget-friendly drugstore moisturiser that comes complete with SPF 30. The lightweight formula, a recommendation from Ingrid AKA Miss Glamorazzi is ideal for all skin types, even my blemish-prone complexion. It moisturises and nourishes skin without feeling greasy or heavy on my face. Plus it is completely free from titanium dioxide, a product found in a lot of SPF products which can irritate the skin and cause spots and blemishes. It’s also responsible for that horrible SPF-induced white face flashback that you often find in photos, so this moisturiser is safe to wear in front of the cameras.

In terms of application, the moisturiser absorbs so easily into the skin so you’re ready to crack on with make up super speedily after application – plus it smells like one of my all time favourite sun tan lotions Piz Buin and conjures up memories of holidays by the beach. Mmmmm…. *insert sea noises*

Now the only annoying thing about this moisturising whiz is that it doesn’t seem to be available in the UK. However, it is available from a number of eBay sellers so if you’re eager to give it a go, it’s worth trying there. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to bask in the sunshine.
