Clarins

I’m heading into my fourth (maybe even fifth?!) year of consistent London living and, over the years, have come to realise that the city smog can do dreadful things to your skin if you don’t take the necessary steps to completely cleanse it of all that London filth.

Enter my newest cleansing love, the Clarins Extra-Comfort Anti-Pollution Cleansing Creama thick and nourishing cleanser which aims to cleanse your skin of all that city pollution, while leaving your face feeling super soft and moisturised. Ingredients-wise, this product is packed full of goodness; the Moringa Seed is responsible for tackling the pollution and completely cleanses your skin of pretty much every trace of carbon and other nastiness, while the Jojoba Oil, Mango and Shea Butter nourish and care for your skin in the loveliest of ways.

Now, I have to admit I was initially quite worried about using this cleanser on my blemish-prone skin, particularly as I know that Shea Butter can aggravate oilier skins, but thus far – three weeks into using it – I haven’t had a problem. I whack a small amount on to dry skin, massage it in and use a hot damp flannel to remove it – and all traces of dirt and make up. After using it, my face feels so much less congested and my skin is pretty darn soft.

I have to admit to being completely won over by this product which, at £25 for a ruddy mahussive tube, is a much cheaper alternative to a lot of products out there – yet feels just as luxurious as all the other high-end options. Worth an investment if you’re in the market for something new…
