I’ve become much better at my morning skincare routine – where I used to prioritise that extra 15 minutes of sleep, I’m now managing to haul myself of bed just a little bit earlier in order to give my face the full whack of skincare goodness it deserves.
My morning cleanser of choice these days is the Elemental Herbology Bio-Cellular Super Cleanse. The gel/milk hybrid formula is so refreshing and light, but also really nice and cleansing, ideal for ridding your face of any nastiness that may have built up during the night. Plus it smells awesome. I follow that up with the Aveda Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant, a gentle but effective exfoliating toner that perks my skin up and leaves it feeling lovely and fresh. The last step in the cleansing and toning ritual is the La Roche-Posay Serozinc, a spray toner which tackles any redness and sensitivity, while also having a lovely cooling effect on the skin.
In an attempt to tackle my blemish scarring, I’m currently using the Indeed Labs Pepta-Bright, a cream serum aimed at fading any darks sports and scars. Then comes the Indeed Labs Hydraluron, which I’m sure you’re all very familiar with by now! Suffice to say it is the ideal pre-moisturiser gel-like serum which helps skin to really soak in all that moisturising goodness. Which brings me to the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser Light, an old favourite which I’ve recently brought back into my regular routine. It smells pretty awful but is a really lovely light and nourishing option that I know I can always rely on.
Last up before I hit the make up is my Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm which provides my smackers with a big ole hit of hydration, ready to prep them before any lip gloss or lipstick.
Then, after all that, ready to face the day… Right after a coffee that is.
