As some of you may have read in this post, I did an edit of some of my favourite make up recently, trying to work it down to just five products that I would pick above all others to take away on a desert island with me. Well now it’s the turn of my skincare supplies – my favourite five products that I would want to accompany me on any desert island escape.
First up is the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm. This product has long been one of my absolute favourites thanks to its nourishing formula which not only gives skin that incredibly deep clean, but also leaves it feeling pretty smooth and supple. The ideal antidote to any desert island sunshine.
Next up is my favourite toner, the Pixi Glow Tonic, an all-natural exfoliating toner which leaves my face feeling refreshed and really ruddy radiant – as radiant as it’s gonna get in any case. For some serious moisturisation in the face of all that sunshine, we have the Pai BioRegenerate Rosehip Oil – a seriously luxurious oil which gives my skin a good whack of moisture. I mix that in with the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat, which helps to keep any shiny patches at bay while also nourishing my skin. It’s an ideal all-rounder for anyone on the lookout for something nice and simple.
Last but not least is the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. This product has been a favourite with beauty-lovers for years – and for good reason. The Eight Hour Cream can be used to treat a whole host of skin conditions, from sunburn to dryness to chapping and so on. I always make sure I have a tube of it handy for any such emergencies and can’t imagine anything else filling that ‘do it all’ position (although I’m always open to suggestions!).
