As you may have seen on my Instagram and Twitter pages, I spent Thursday night celebrating the launch of Tanya Burr’s new range of nail polishes and lip glosses at the Sanderson Hotel. The event was a ball and it was amazing to see all of Tanya’s hard work pay off in such an amazing way.

So, with the festivities out of the way, it was onto the products. Kicking off with the nail polishes, I’ve got Midnight Sparklesa deep shimmery purple, and Mini Marshmallowsa beautiful pale pink. The packaging of the polishes is lovely and the whole product range looks amazing.

In terms of the application, I found both polishes really easy to apply – the brush is a good size, the polish glides on easily and takes two thin coats to give a totally opaque, shiny finish. I haven’t had the chance to wear either shade for longer than a few days but both seem to stand up well to a bit of wear and tear… Of the two, Midnight Sparkles is already a stand-out favourite – the shimmer is really subtle and only really reflects in certain lights, giving the deep opaque purple a beautiful new dimension – but truthfully I can see myself wearing both shades quite easily.

Despite not being the biggest lip gloss fan – I just associate them with sticky lips and even stickier hair – I’ve been making more of an effort to incorporate them into my beauty stash of late. I was really excited to give Tanya’s offerings a go and I have to say, they don’t disappoint: minimal stickiness, a really pretty colour payoff and a lovely lasting sheen. The glosses come in an assortment of shades and there are both creamy and shimmery options available.

Picnic in the Park is a creamy pink colour, which looks amazing by itself or over a lipstick to add some added shine, and Champagne Toast is a peachy pink shimmer – a bit like Nars Orgasm in a lip gloss, if you will.

So as you may be able to tell, I’m seriously impressed with the whole range. Tanya has done a brilliant job and managed to keep the prices nice and low, making these beauty options a brilliant choice for all budgets. I may have even added a few more to my own wishlist…

Tanya’s products look so wonderful. I’m kinda sad I don’t own one of her lip glosses. The fact that they aren’t that sticky like you say, sounds really interesting! The colours are so pretty, especially Picnic in the Park.
    Amazing review!

These products look amazing! I really want to try Champagne Toast, it looks so pretty. I think I might wait until they come out in Superdrug though because hopefully they’ll have some testers as the lip gloss colours all look really wearable xx

    1. I’m so happy with the lip glosses, they’re beautiful. And Champagne Toast doesn’t leave too much shimmer on the lips so really very wearable! xxx

Does it last long because whenever I wear lip gloss I always get worried some of it will come off or smudge xx

      2. The wear time is quite good – certainly on a par with most other glosses that I’ve tried, although they aren’t lip stains as such so the colour on its own isn’t particularly vibrant. I find that they work better over a lip colour personally! x
