I’ve been super lucky with samples recently and have tried and tested some ruddy epic products over the past few months, thanks in large part to some amazing gifts with purchase and some superb magazine giveaways. So, I wanted to share my thoughts on this batch of brilliant bits and pieces with you guys and see whether you have any thoughts…

So without further ado – the first selection up for discussion is the Elemis duo that I received in a goody bag a few weeks ago (along with a man-specific product which I’ve passed on to G!). Thus far it’s true love and I can’t get enough of both the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel and the Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash. Both are absolutely brilliant at helping you to achieve that deep down radiance in your complexion and leave skin feeling super soft and clean every time I use them.

Another face favourite is the Perricone MD Neuropeptide Firming Moisturiserwhich has worked some serious magic on my skin in recent weeks leaving it feeling plump, healthy and incredibly happy, even after a long week of work. It’s quite a heavy formula so have been using it only a couple of times a week – probably a good thing given how much it costs…! – but even then it’s done a really impressive job and leaves my face looking seriously super soft.

The REN T-Zone Balancing Daily Fluid has been helping me to keep any shine at bay day-to-day and doesn’t clog my pores or feel at all heavy on my skin as a lot of these sorts of treatments can at times… I’m just so sad the sample is so teeny weeny! Another teeny tiny sample option is the Kate Somerville CytoCell Dark Circle Correcting Eye Cream. Sadly the sachet of product only lasted two application – and even then I was using a seriously small amount! – but I have been really impressed with how lightweight and refreshing it feels around my eyes and would love a chance to try it out over a longer period.

Last up we have the one haircare product out of the batch – the Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring TreatmentAnother super small bottle, I managed to get two uses out of the tube before resigning myself to the fact that it had emptied. After focusing the treatment on the ends of my hair – which are ever so slightly split – I was thrilled with how silky soft my tresses were the following day. Even after two applications, my ends felt much healthier and were visibly less frizzy.

Needless to say, some permanent purchases will absolutely be made following the latest round of sample tests, let’s just hope my bank account can cope with the weight of that pricey Perricone MD…!
