I love a good face mask. There’s nothing I enjoy more on a Sunday afternoon – post lacrosse match – than kicking back with a couple of my favourite face masks and catching up on some of my favourite YouTubers.

Despite my long-running love of face masks however, I hadn’t ever been brave enough to try out a sheet mask, preferring instead to stick to my tube-y stash – that was until I laid eyes on the new Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask. For those of you unfamiliar with the original Hydraluron, it’s essentially an uber-effective moisture-boosting serum that helps to boost your skin’s hydration, both at surface level and deeper down.

While the serum is ideally used on a day-to-day basis, the Hydraluron sheet mask offers a highly concentrated dose and promises to dramatically increase skin’s natural radiance, while ensuring a softer, plumper and more healthy complexion. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me…

Now, the sheet masks are pretty messy to apply – they are quite literally coated in the serum so do feel a bit sloppy – but once they’re on, it feels ever so cooling and refreshing and the 15 minute wait time flies by quicker than you like. Upon removing the mask, I was quite surprised by the amount of product that my skin had absorbed during such a short amount of time and was amazed at how much softer and smoother my skin felt almost immediately. A few days later and my skin is still feeling the effects; I’m using much less moisturiser day to day and I feel as though my face has a much healthier glow.

At £19.99 for a packet of four, these aren’t the cheapest products around, but personally I think you get quite a lotta bang for your buck and there are many alternatives out there that only offer half the results for nearly double the price. Personally, I’ll be using these as a once-a week or once-every-other-week treat, depending on how my skin is feeling. If all else fails, they can double up as a super creepy costume come Halloween…
