As many of you are now no doubt aware, I have something of a beauty addiction. But what a lot of you might not be so familiar with is my unwavering obsession with stationary. Seriously, it’s a problem, one which is only rivalled by my love of skincare and make up.

So when it came to getting myself organised for the New Year – who doesn’t love a good 2014 to-do list? – I leapt upon the opportunity to pay a visit to my local Staples store (otherwise known as stationary heaven) to stock up on a whole heap of notebook and organisational goodness in the form of the Martha Stewart Staples line. We’re talking aisle after aisle of turquoise-coral creations sure to thrill and delight even the most discerning stationary nerds…

And what, you might ask, was this hefty stationary stock-up in aid of? Well, having spent much of last year feeling a bit lost in terms of what I was doing and when, I decided that 2014 would be the year I got myself in gear. And what better way to get organised than a selection of brand new stationary?! Thanks to Martha’s beautiful selection, I am now the proud owner of a dedicated blog book – which is already full to the brim of ideas, lists and blogging schedules – a to-do list pad – complete with tick-off points – and a brand new iPad case – alright, no necessarily part of the organisational aims, but beautiful nonetheless!

My second stationary shop of the year resulted in this beautiful One Line A Day Five-Year Memory Book, which I’ve actually been quite good at keeping filled out thus far! We’ll see how long I manage to keep it up, but for now I’m enjoying the idea of having a short and sweet reminder of all the fun stuff – and the less fun stuff! – that I get up to each and every day.

Last but not least in my 2014 organisational line-up is this Tin of Denial Receipts Storage, a slightly scary but oh-so useful stocking stuffer which is, ironically, already full to the brim of stationary receipts. While it’s rather horrifying seeing physical evidence of my spending mounting up day after day, it’s been seriously helpful at getting my spending in check – and it means I know exactly where to go if I need to make a return. Winner winner.

Bring it on 2014, I’m ready for ya…

I got my best friend a similar notebook from Kikki.K. 🙂 She said it’s been one of her highlights jotting down a sentence at the end of the day! Hope you do the whole 5 years. 🙂
