Selfridges2* elle x selfridges beauty box £30 *

There’s nothing I love more than browsing through the Selfridges website and spotting a brand new beauty box. As you may have guessed by now, when it comes to these amazingly-stocked beauty boxes, I’m powerless to resist and to my mind there is no other alternative that quite matches up to the superb standards set by Selfridges. Too OTT? Well believe me, it’s worth it.

Following on from the success of the Festival Beauty Box – I’m still trying to work out a way to sneak some pink hair dye into my day to day haircare routine – Selfridges have collaborated with Elle magazine on their latest beauty box, bringing you a whole heap of beauty brilliance combined with the added extra of this month’s rather bulky mag thrown in for good measure.

As with the majority of Selfridges beauty boxes, this option includes both full and sample size products and in this case there are a whole heap more big products than small. Ideal. So, on with the show, eh?

Perhaps the most exciting product for me is the Sachajuan Leave-In ConditionerI’d heard so many amazing things about this oil-free, frizz reducing wonder product and I couldn’t wait to give it a go. Full to the brim with minerals and marine algae (I know, weird right?), it is said to have the power to ‘turn straw into gold’, something which I plan to put to the test as soon as possible…

Next up we have the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist. Perhaps an ideal alternative to the Caudalie Beauty Elixir? We’ll see. The Ciate Nail Polish will serve as the perfect pinky addition to my ever-increasing nail varnish supply and actually managed to fill a hole in terms of my available shades. Coincidence? I think not.

Ellis Faas is another beauty brand that I had come across on only a few occasions – usually during one of my many cheeky trips into the Liberty beauty hall… – and I have to admit I’m intrigued. Ideally, I am in desperate need of a new mascara and can’t wait to whip this on to my lashes just as soon as my current tube is polished off.

Last in the line-up, we have an orangey peach Topshop Lipstick – have to admit, quite scared of the orange but we’ll give it a go – the Eve Lom Kiss Mix Lip Balm – you know how I love a good lip balm – and the Perricone MD MD Nueropeptide Firming Moisturiser Mini – coincidentally another brand that I have been uber eager to give a try. It’s as though Selfridges read my mind.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to test these bad boys…
