Just a quick sneak peak at some of my favourite London-based beauty spots… Do feel free to share with me any gems you think I may have missed and which you think are worthy of a visit!

BOOTS WESTFIELD, Shepherd’s Bush W12 7GF

Undoubtedly the biggest Boots within a fair few miles’ distance from my flat, this Boots has everything you could ever ask for and more; a huge variety of brands, an impressive array of products and the latest releases.

Watch out for:

* Haircare – this Boots comes complete with Ojon and Bumble & Bumble counters

* Specialist skincare – Liz Earle, La Roche-Posay and Botanics all have their complete collections in stock

* New releases – weeks (and occasionally months) ahead of their official release date, you can find the newest product offerings from all the best budget brands in store

LIBERTY OF LONDON, 210-220 Regent St, Soho W1B 5AH

If the beautiful old building wasn’t reason enough for you to visit Liberty, the beauty hall is the perfect place for anyone hoping to seek out exclusive beauty brands, unique products and hard-to-find specialities.

WIthout a doubt one of my favourite places in the city, I love nothing more than wandering through the creaky corridors and mis-matched rooms.

Watch out for:

* Unique, hard-to-find brands – Le Labo, Seche Vite, Diptyque all have a home in the Liberty beauty hall

* One-off products – after each one of my many trips into Liberty, I’ve walked away with some amazing purchases including Escentric Molecules, Biologique Recherche and Egyptian Magic. To name but a few…

JOHN BELL & CROYDEN, 50-54 Wigmore St, London W1U 2AU ‎

One of the most well-stocked pharmacies in London, John Bell & Croyden has the most amazing supply of brands from both home and abroad. I could spend – and have spent – hours browsing their shelves which are stocked full of the latest releases from Bioderma, Korres and Caudalie.

Located in an amazing central location (just a quick hop, skip and a jump away from foodie favourite MEATLiquor), it’s the ideal stop-off for anyone hoping to lose themselves in a small piece of beauty heaven for a few minutes, hours…. days?

Watch out for:

* French favourites – Bioderma (they were one of the first UK-based shops to stock Bioderma H2o), La Roche-Posay (again) and Caudalie

* Old school saviours – Dr Bronner’s soaps, both the liquid and bar versions, a must-have for anyone seeking the perfect make up brush cleaner

SELFRIDGES, 400 Oxford St, London W1A 1AB ‎

This might seem like an obvious choice to a lot of you, but I couldn’t help but mention it. Without a doubt one of my favourite beauty halls in London, Selfirdges has so much to offer everyone, be they a make up maven or a beauty beginner. From MAC to Creme de la Mer, Jo Malone to Illamasqua, there’s something to be found for everyone inside its hallowed halls.

Watch out for:

* Exclusive releases – Selfridges are wizards when it comes to securing incredible exclusives. From early releases – like the latest range from Bourjois – to one-of-a-kind exclusives, such as limited edition Nars palettes and uniquely-designed ranges, this beauty hall is where it’s at when it comes to those extra special finds

* Beauty events – make up genius Charlotte Tilbury’s recent Rock N Kohl event is the perfect example of the kind of amazing events hosted in the Selfridges beauty hall. From consultations to specialist launches, they know what’s what when it comes to beauty events

* MAC magic – a little known secret when it comes to the Selfridges beauty hall is that MAC not only have a home within the hall itself but can also be found up on the third floor, far away from the manic crowds which are often congregated around its ground floor stand. Upstairs, away from the action near the Selfridges entrance, the lovely MAC ladies offer beauty treatments, consultations and more targeted one-on-one advice. Bliss

WHOLE FOODS KENSINGTON, 63-97 Kensington High St, London, UK W8 5SE

I know what you’re thinking – a health food store? But if you can bear to tear yourself away from the endless supplies of tasty treats, you’ll find the most amazing collection of beauty products downstairs on the basement level. Offering the perfect blend of high end brands mixed with all-natural budget favourites, this is the perfect place to head if you’re looking for something a bit special.

Watch out for:

* High-end aces – REN, NUDE, Dr Hauschka and Neom all have a home in the Whole Foods beauty hall

* Amazing organics – think raw coconut cream, avocado oil and 100% natural goodness. You name it and you’re likely to find it hiding among the endless array of organic products stocked here

Honourable mention:

* Bliss Pharmacy, 107-109 Gloucester Road, South Kensington, London SW7 4SS – an amazingly well-stocked pharmacy which showcases the best and brightest French beauty brands

* Zest Pharmacy, 18 Broadwick Street, W1F 8HS – another pharmacy favourite, this time in Soho

* & Other Stories, 256-258 Regent St, London W1B 3AA – this store’s beautifully decorated beauty section is enough to turn anyone into a massive beauty fan
