Is it just me, or does it seem like all your most-used beauty products have a habit of running out at exactly the same time? Well, over the past few days, I’ve found myself with a whole heap of empties and couldn’t wait to get to Boots for an all-important re-stock.

First up, one of the most essential – yet undoubtedly the least chic of the lot – the Gillette Venus & Olay Razor Blades. Now I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who can’t tell one razor blade from the next. As long as it does the trick right? Sadly, my oh-so sensitive skin requires something of a soft touch when it comes to shaving and these uber-protected blades do the trick beautifully. Super smooth and silky soft legs coming up.

Another less-than-sexy product re-purchase is the Sure Compressed DeodorantThe same Sure quality as usual – pits remain floral and fresh all the livelong day – squashed into a handy super small size. Perfect for popping in the handbag, particularly during the warmer weather when emergency sprays are becoming more and more necessary.

Moving on from the behind the scenes beauty basics to the barnet, we come to the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cherry. It seems like I go through a can of this stuff every week; it’s just the perfect solution when it comes to that awkward in-between washes phase. I know some people struggle to make it work for them but for me, it’s ideal.

Another haircare favourite and frequently-used product is the L’Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray. This hairspray is one of the few products that has remained a firm favourite for over a decade. I remember my mum first using it to secure my bun before ballet class – thanks mum! – and it did the job so well I’ve never bothered to find an alternative! Why fix what ain’t broke? If it worked for ballet…

Last but not least, the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat, a wallet-friendly favourite that is ideal for anyone with combination or oily skin. This gel-based moisturiser leaves skin feeling totally hydrated without leaving behind any trace of oil. Used in the morning for a post-sleep refresh or in the evenings mixed with a few drops of my Nude ProGenius Oil for an added boost.

What beauty products can’t you live without? Any favourites that you recommend I try?
