Questions

You may have noticed, I go through a whole heap of beauty products and, along the way, I’ve found some truly spectacular bits and bobs that have remained firm favourites among my beauty stash for weeks, months and even years.

But among my well-stocked skincare and make up collection there are a few gaps remaining that have yet to be filled with the perfect product. And that, lovely readers and fellow beauty fans, is where you come in. Hit me up with your beauty recommendations, suggestions and comments – I want to hear what you’re loving at the moment.

And as for those gaps I mentioned…

* An amazing moisturiser I have several options that I keep in rotation to fit this category, but none that really have that wow factor. Currently flitting between the Nude Cellular Repair Moisturiser, which is great but leaves my skin feeling slightly tacky come morning, and the La Roche Posay Effaclar Mat which again does the trick but doesn’t offer anything particularly spectacular…

* The perfect foundation Now that summer is here and the warm weather has finally arrived, my quest for the ideal base has ramped up to a whole new level. While I probably already have more foundations than most, I still haven’t found that wonder product which offers good coverage for combination, blemish-prone skin, without leaving any kind of tacky residue. Ideas more than welcome.

A cure for those cuticles Over the past few months, my hands have become more and more dry. Having now worked my way through hundreds of tubes of handcream, I have yet to find anything that can sort out my crusty cuticles. Needless to say it’s not attractive and needs sorting ASAP!

Effortless under eye concealer One that lasts all day, sticks like glue and doesn’t crease or cake. Impossible? I hope not. While the product in my previous post has come closer than any other alternative so far, it’s still missing a lil sumthin sumthin, ya know?

Get those suggestions coming y’all…. Thanks!

Good drugstore foundations – Rimmel stay matte foundation or Maxfactor lasting performance. The latter layers really well when you’re having a bad skin moment.

    1. I’ve actually tried the Rimmel Stay Matte. It’s quite nice! But I found it didn’t have particularly long-lasting staying power… I’ll give the MaxFactor one a go for sure though. Thanks love 🙂 xxx

I use Jojoba Oil on my cuticles, and it works miracles. It’s not super expensive ($10) for a small bottle, but it’ll last you forever. You can also use it for a million different things too, like a facial moisturizer or combining it with your lotion to make an extra moisturizing formula. For foundation, I use mostly drugstore brands so, I would recommend the Revlon ColorStay Foundation. It’s definitely a good value for the price!

    1. Ooooh ok, I hadn’t ever thought about using an oil in all honesty. I’ll have to give the Jojoba Oil a go. Thank you so much for the recommendation! xxx
