JuneFavourites2

Quite a bizarre assortment of favourites this month but, despite how bizarre they look lumped in together, each one of these power products has been a life-saver in one way or another throughout the past month.

First things first, my new perfume, YSL Manifesto. After getting just one whiff of this vanilla-laced beauty from the sample bottle, I knew I had to have it. And boy am I glad I made that investment. Light, yet lingering, sweet, yet not sickly, it is the perfect fragrance to see me through the summer – an beyond.

Next up, another summer saviour, the Bourjois Bronzing Primer. This wallet-friendly wonder ticks all of the boxes as far as I’m concerned – smooths over those lumps, bumps and bleedin’ obvious pores, ensures my make-up remains on my face throughout the day, rather than down my top and leaves me with a healthy sun-kissed glow – I’ve even managed to get over the ever-so-slightly sickly sweet chocolate scent that seems to accompany ever Bourjois bronzing product (right?!).

The second and final make-up marvel this month is the Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless mascara. Another budget-friendly favourite, I’m already on my second tube of this stuff, despite having plenty of other alternatives in my arsenal waiting to be tried and tested. Nevertheless, this is the bad boy that I keep coming back to – mainly because it manages to lengthen and volumise my pitifully thin and weak lashes without leaving them feeling far worse off than before upon removal (as has happened with a number of drugstore mascaras).

Moving on to a slightly less glamorous – yet nonetheless vitally important – product, we have the Sure Ultra Dry Compressed Deodorant. Now, I know a lot of you are probably thinking eh?! It’s just a bloody deo but please, allow me to elaborate. Now, being the fussy missy that I am, I can’t abide roll-ons or deo sticks of any of that nonsense. Yuck, no way, no thanks.

Sorry but that’s just the way I roll – or don’t roll as the case may be. To me the only advantage of these sticks of horror is their compact sizing; perfect for popping in your handbag. But now ladies and gentlemen, I need worry no more, for Sure – and several other deodorant products – now comes in this uber handy compressed canister, meaning I can carry around all the power of a full-sized spray but in the tiny handbag-friendly container. Plus it’s got that green seal of approval from the environmental powers that be, which makes me feel *slightly* better about needing to spray it every five seconds to ensure I remain sweat-free in the current humid climate.

Last – but by no means least – we have the Dove Hair Nourishing Oil Care Leave-in Spray. This leave-in conditioning spray has been my number one go-to product when trying to combat any warm weather-induced dryness, frizzy flyaways or split ends. Plus, as an added bonus, it leaves my hair smelling super sweet and honey-ey for endless hours after application. *Sniffs hair* Aaaaaaaah.
