Goodness gracious me how I love a good limited edition collection and this cute and colourful range from MAC is no exception.

Launched exclusively in Selfridges this week – it’s due into MAC stores in the next few days – the Archie’s Girls collection includes everything from lipsticks and lip glasses to eyeshadow and eyeliner, all of which come in a variety of shades and colours, sure to satisfy even the fussiest of beauty lovers.

Now I’ll be honest, restricting myself to just two products from this quirky collection took some serious willpower but I couldn’t be happier with the delightful duo that I plumped for. In an attempt to stay true to my New Year’s resolution to embrace bolder lip colours, I opted for the beautifully packaged Veronica Lipstick in Ronnie Red, a bold and bright matte formula red with a hint of pink underneath.

I’m not *particularly* crazy about the matte formula – I find it quite tricky to apply and it can sometimes end up clinging to any dry bits which is less than attractive. Luckily this lipstick isn’t at all drying once applied and leaves lips with a brilliantly bold dash of colour. Perfect for my lipstick resolution.

Secondly, possibly the most talked-about product out of the Archie’s Girls collection, the Pearlmatte Face Powder in Flatter Me, a perfectly peachy blusher base with some adorable blendable pink hearts dotted across it. The whole thing results in a delightful peachy-toned glow with just the slightest subtle shimmer. The perfect product for anyone hoping to create a healthy, dewy glow.

Safe to say I’m thrilled with both of these additions to my make-up collection and don’t doubt that they’ll become firm favourites within no time at all.

  1. I think this time around, MAC made it difficult to choose my favorite gal, Veronica, and now my wants are pointing to Betty.
