BedsideI don’t know about you but I love having a good nose and when I saw some ‘what’s on my bedside table’ posts popping up on a number of other blogs, I couldn’t wait to share one of my own.

I like to (well I try to) keep my bedside table fairly organised; there’s nothing worse than being faced with a frantic mess just as you’re trying to doze off to sleep. It’s enough to ruin anyone’s evening…

The assortment of nick-nacks currently residing on my bedside table are all bits and bobs that I like to have close at hand just before I drift off to sleep. From my favourite fragrance – the Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay Home Candle – to a toasty warm treat – my snowflake-patterned hot water bottle was a Christmas present from G – I have every little luxury I need close by to ensure the sweetest of sleeps.

In the recent cold months, I couldn’t have survived without the addition of some much-needed hydration into my nightly pre-bed routine. Both my trusty tube of Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream and my Soap & Glory Hand Food have been the perfect antidotes to the frosty weather and slathering them on pre-bed ensures silky smooth skin come morning.

Taking a leaf out of Emma from milkteef‘s book, I invested in a bottle of the Disney Wonder Linen Spray, a sweet-smelling scent that leaves my sheets with the most amazingly comforting fragrance.

To ensure that I don’t spend the night constantly jangling, I like to store my jewellery in a re-purposed silver ashtray that I picked up from Zara Home, while the purple Ikea tray ensures that all my lotions and potions don’t topple over on the uneven wicker table top.

Last but not least, just a couple of brilliant bedtime reads: both Emily Schuman’s wonderful Cupcakes and Cashmere book and the amazing Vintage Tea Party Book make for the perfect page turners just before hitting the hay.

So there you have it, my bedside table. What do you keep on yours?
