I’m a big fan of highlighters; I have quite a round face – I know there is a pair of perfectly sculpted cheekbones hiding in there somewhere but I just can’t seem to find them! – and therefore rely on a good highlighter to give my face a slightly more structured look, while also helping to brighten my complexion.

I don’t tend to use a lot of MAC’s face products – despite my long-standing love affair with their eye make up selection – but when this beautiful shimmer landed on my desk, I couldn’t help but be intrigued. The shade is actually a re-release, having been discontinued by MAC a couple of years ago.

Thank goodness for the power of the re-release because this product offers everything that I could ever want from a day-to-day highlighter. Part of the new Apres Chic collection, Porcelain Pink is a rosy pink shimmer with accents of gold running through it, making it ideal for anyone looking to add a brightening glow to their cheeks. The rose gold tones work perfectly on my skin – I’m quite fair naturally – and the colours blend beautifully onto your face.

Once applied – I used a small, tapered face brush – it gives a natural dewy finish, the perfect lift for anyone feeling a bit lacklustre in the current frosty, wet weather.

As for the rest of the Apres Chic collection, I already have my eye on a couple of the other products – HELLO Pro Longwear Eyeliner in Mountain Air – so watch this space for some further reviews…-

I LOVE this product!! it’s pretty on eyes as a shadow as well! x

    1. I’ll have to give it a go as a shadow – I can imagine it looks amazing! x

  2. This looks so beautiful! I’m tempted to purchase this now, but I know my bank balance won’t thank me for it haha! I haven’t really paid much attention to the mac mineralize skinfinish before except for the natural one (which I love!). But will definitely be thinking about getting one after this post! 🙂

    1. It is the most amazing colour – particularly if you are looking for something subtle and natural. The Stereo Rose from the same collection is also really pretty and gives a more rosy finish if you want something a tiny bit bolder! x
