OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis past weekend, G and I headed to nearby Muswell Hill for an early Christmas celebration with friends at Chooks restaurant.

Recommended by Mr Hyde for its ludicrously tasty chicken dishes, this incredible chicken-based eatery is *the* place to go for fantastic fried chicken, delicious dirty rice and unbelievably moreish mac n cheese.

Much like many of the mono-food – not sure that’s really a proper phrase, but oh well – establishments that have popped up across the capital recently (Meat Liquor, Bubbledogs, Burger and Lobster etc), Chooks has taken a single foodie theme and run with it, providing diners with the perfect poultry experience full of fresh and exciting flavours, delicious recipes and hearty helpings.

My recommendations? Chicken wings with blue cheese dip, Buttermilk fried chicken with mash and gravy and the dirty rice. DE-LISH.

While not perhaps the most festive meal in the world, Chooks was the perfect place to enjoy an immense foodie-filled pre-Christmas celebration with friends. We’re already making plans to return to tackle the Chooks Inferno Wing Challenge: watch out 2013, we’re comin’ at you.

    1. Hmmmm… looking at the pictures I’m not so sure. Although to be fair, you managed to keep yours in the glass the whole time. Ken on the other hand…
