*the amazing christmas shop at selfridges*

I don’t know if I’ve already mentioned – I definitely have – but there are now just over two weeks until Christmas Day. TWO WEEKS. I just have no idea what happened to the last few weeks; they have flown by without so much as a wave as they sailed on past.

Usually at around this time every year I am one of the lucky, organised few who can sit smuggly in their homes, happy in the knowledge that 99.9 per cent of their Christmas shopping has been sorted, wrapped and is ready to go. This year however, this feeling of superiority and cool, calm Christmas organisation has vanished and in it’s place resides a nervous hint of panic at the lack of time I have remaining between now and the big day.

Luckily, I love Christmas – not sure if you’ve noticed? – and I have happily forced this feeling of fear aside in favour of a more festive outlook. Presents will be bought and on time. It will just take a little bit more organisation and intelligent time management than usual. No problemo. I’m thinking of writing out a schedule to sort out both mine and G’s shopping needs. As you can imagine G is thrilled at this prospect.

More a task for a Monday morning I think, so for now I am going to spend my Sunday relaxing in the company of friends, celebrating the lovely Jess’ birthday (Happy Birthday Jessy) and relaxing in front of Elf on the TV this evening. It’s been a busy week and a bit of peace and quiet is in order I think. In the meantime though, here are some festive bits of fun that have been keeping me smiling this past week.

Ooh, I hope I’ll be able to squeeze in a quick trip to either Selfridge’s or Harrod’s christmas department!
