OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAPerfume is one of the very first beauty products that I remember lusting after. I will never forget the amazing floral, spicy scents that always seemed to surround my mum and other ‘grown-ups’, giving them an air of glamour and intrigue, and I remember thinking of all the beautiful glass perfume bottles that I was sure would adorn my dressing table when I grew up.

Well, here I am, all grown up – ish – and my quest for the perfect perfume continues. From the early days of Impulse body sprays (I still have an old Spice Girls-scented spray stashed away in my wardrobe at home) and my very first bottle of Tommy Girl perfume (so chic) I have been searching for my signature scent for many years.

I’ve switched from favourite to favourite, never really settling on one in particular, but preferring to change my scents up with the differing seasons – my top picks have remained much the same throughout the past few years with Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb and Tom Ford Black Orchid continuing to sit atop my dresser.

This latest scent had me hooked from the start however and has quickly become my go-to perfume day-to-day. Elie Saab Le Parfum is a deliciously sweet and rich scent, laced with orange blossom and jasmine notes – or so says the blurb that came with it! In all honesty I know very little about the complex make-up of perfume, but one thing is for sure and that’s the undeniable beauty of this fragrance.

Lingering without being overpowering, a few sprays each morning are all I need to ensure I remain sweetly smelling throughout the day. How grown up.

Do you remember that MAC honey perfume we found in Dubai airport? I finally got hold of a bottle on ebay and I could not be happier! This Elie Saab perfume sounds gorgeous, love a bit of orange blossom.
