As I mentioned back in this post, I’ve been searching for a solution to my problem skin for a while and have embarked on a new routine in an effort to beat the blemishes once and for all.
Having been recommended numerous soaps, solutions, lotions and potions, there was one in particular that stood out time and time again: Liz Earle.
Apparently I’ve been living under something of a large rock for the last few months; while the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish has been taking the beauty/blogger world by storm for a while now, I’ve remained completely oblivious to its wonders until just a few weeks ago.
Better late than never I suppose.
Never one to make a half-hearted beauty effort – and having heard such fantastic things about the whole Liz Earle range – I decided to invest not only in the cleanse and polish but in an entirely new skincare regime. Bold? Yes. Worth it? I think so.
Luckily, the lovely people at Liz Earle are currently offering a superbly saver-friendly deal that sees all their October skincare essentials grouped together for a bargain price with a free sample thrown in for good measure (although I received sample of the Cleanse & Polish that was already in my order so sadly didn’t get to try a new product).
Having been faithfully following Liz’s tried and tested philosophy of ‘cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day’ for just over a week now – not a particularly long time I admit! – I have to say I’m completely hooked. While remaining faithful to the ‘twice a day’ policy does mean hauling myself out of bed a few minutes earlier than usual, the additional effort is more than worth it. In just the short time that I’ve been a Liz Earle user, my skin feels cleaner, softer and – most importantly – healthier.
The products are all beautifully packaged – right down to the muslin cloths which accompany the Cleanse & Polish – and incredibly simple to use. While the Cleanse & Polish is my current favourite, I have to admit I’m head over heels for the whole selection and I’m excited to see how my skin benefits from prolonged use.
In case any of you are interested, or perhaps just feeling a bit nosy, my routine now consists of:
* Removing any excess London grime/make up with the DHC Cleansing Oil followed by
* Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish to get that deep-down, bottom-of-the-pores-type clean
* Liz Earle’s Instant Boost Skin Tonic – refreshing and moisturising with a bit of added ‘cleanse’ for good measure
* Liz Earle’s Skin Repair Light Moisturiser for combination/oily skin which gives such incredible moisture that my skin quite literally drinks it in
On top of that, the October Skincare Essentials selection includes a roll-on bottle of Superskin Concentrate, a rich and heady-smelling serum-type treatment that soothes and relaxes skin while boosting natural healing. It’s brilliant for anyone who has trouble sleeping – the scented oil is ideal for pre-snooze relaxation.
While I’m sure I have by no means found the ultimate solution to problem skin – if there even is one out there – I am already feeling so much happier about the way that my skin feels and I genuinely believe I’m on the road to finding my perfect skin regime.
